We offer classes in 2 age ranges – P1 to P3 and P4 to P7. Each class has a maximum size of 12 children and lasts approximately 1 hour.
The younger children mainly use the foam swords and there is a lot of emphasis on games that develop balance, co-ordination, speed and timing. Basic technical terms and the FUNdamentals of fencing are covered. The classes for older children use plastic foils and there is more emphasis on technique and tactics and the development of a greater range of skills while continuing to offer plenty of games to improve all-round physical ability.
Each term usually lasts between 6 and 8 weeks but there is no problem joining part of the way through a term as our expert coaches will soon get you up to speed. Payment for the first term includes the £20 annual registration fee which includes your Fencing Fun welcome pack. If you are booking a subsequent term of classes, please tick the "Already Enrolled" box when registering for a new term.
Holiday Camps - a great introduction to the sport or the ideal way to keep your skills sharp! We run camps during mid-term, Easter and Summer holidays.
